Virtual Skills for Social Anxiety Group
This group may be right for you if you feel that avoiding certain social situations and fear of judgement is one of the biggest barriers to you living your best life. We will be a smaller sized group with the same people each week. You do not need a social anxiety diagnosis to join! This group is offered for woman-identifying, Non-Binary, and Two Spirit individuals.
Our hope is that this group will boost your confidence. You’ll experience success in handling social anxiety, and learn skills you can keep applying even after the group series to live your best life in the social world!

- Skills for negative thinking and managing anxiety
- Forming and working towards small, gradual goals each week
- Viewing ourselves more kindly
Session Details
Format: Virtual via Google Meets
Timings: 10 AM – 12 PM
Dates: February 11th, 2026 – March 18th, 2026
Facilitators: Kimberly Giddings, RCSW and Vanessa Bachynsky, Clinical Social Work Intern
After registering for our group, you will be contacted by our facilitator, Vanessa, to schedule a virtual meeting where details of this group will be shared, and you will do a short assessment of questions to ensure the group is a best fit for you.
To prepare for your session:
- Consent Form and Registration: Participants are required to register and sign a consent form in order to receive the virtual access link.
- Intake: Participants must complete a separate intake form provided by the facilitators after registration, and do a short assessment to test best-fit for the group.
- Residency: Participants must be a resident of Alberta and within Alberta at the time of each group session.
We kindly request a $10 donation per session to help support our programs. Payment can be made in person, over the phone, or by e-transfer to info@momentumcounselling.org. Participation will never be restricted for those who cannot afford the $10 contribution.
