"No"vember- Letting Go of What No Longer Serves you
I came across a meme on social media with the concept above. What a perfect time to reflect and consider what has brought you joy and what hasn’t. The change in weather, season, time, the beautiful sunrises and Aurora Borealis signify change is all around us. Consider what you want to change.
Sometimes, the best form of self care is to simply say no. Many of us think that will have catastrophic impacts on our relationships, personally and professionally. Fortunately, the reverse is true. Saying no helps people change their expectations and behaviors towards you. Some might take it personally, most won’t. Being open and honest, letting them know that even though you have ‘always’ helped, done, said, paid for…whatever it is, you have realized it is no longer serving you to continue in this way. You will be surprised how this opens you up to feeling more joy.
It is Men’s Health Month! At Momentum, we are huge fans of the Movember Campaign as well as the Buddy Up! Campaign for suicide prevention. We are a very safe, comfortable and compassionate place for men, as evidenced by 61 percent of our clientele being male! Our Anchor Men’s Group is incredibly popular, we are fortunate to have many skilled facilitators who work collaboratively to ensure all voices are heard.
As always, we couldn’t do what we do without you!
