Ongoing (Brief Therapy) Counselling
Ongoing (Brief Therapy) Counselling
If you and your counsellor determine you could benefit from ongoing counselling, we will connect you to a counsellor that is a good fit for you and your presenting concerns.
It may not be the same counsellor you see in your first visit, however the counsellor you see for ongoing counselling (otherwise known as brief therapy) will remain the same for the duration.
Ongoing counselling averages from six to twelve sessions, you may need less or more, depending on the situation. Your counsellor will be able to suggest a timeframe uniquely suited to your situation.
Our counsellors utilize a solution-focused, strengths-based approach for ongoing counselling, focusing on creating change by focusing on solutions rather than problems to help you move forward.
Our approach is strengths-based, meaning that we help you uncover your current strengths and resources and how they can be used to develop strategies for growth and positive change. We do not focus on labels or pathology, rather the inherent strengths that are unique to you.
