It is PRIDE Month and National Indigenous History Month!
Check out all the ways to support and celebrate Pride Month here!
We celebrate National Indigenous History Month every June and recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21. Take the opportunity to learn about Indigenous history, culture, language and acknowledge the harms of colonisation. Find intentional ways of reconciling our history with our shared present and future. For resources and a list of events happening throughout the province, click here.
June is also host to the Centre for Suicide Prevention’s Buddy Up Campaign for Men’s Mental Health! There are many ways you can participate and become a Buddy Up Champion. Watch our social media throughout the month for ideas on how to participate. Also a reminder to check out our Anchor Men’s Group, every Thursday evening. For more information click here!
This month, we are participating in the Canada Helps Great Canadian Giving Challenge! This is an amazing opportunity for charities across the country to win $20K. For every dollar donated this month, we are entered into a draw, so the more you give the greater our chances are to WIN! This would provide accessible counselling services to THOUSANDS of community members. Donate through this link today!
Speaking of contests, in order to get some ‘momentum’ going on our Momentum Mental Health Awards coming up this October, we will be hosting a chance to win two tickets to the MMHAs this month! Keep your eyes on our socials for the details-coming soon! Nominations are OPEN so check out our website for the award categories and nominate a mental health leader TODAY!
As always, we couldn’t do what we do without you!
If you would like to assist us in providing low-cost, quality mental health support, please consider donating. As a registered charity, you will receive a tax receipt. Thanks for helping keep the Momentum!
