Grief & Loss Group
Grief & Loss Group
“Deep grief sometimes is almost like a specific location, a coordinate on a map of time. When you are standing in that forest of sorrow, you cannot imagine that you could ever find your way to a better place. But if someone can assure you that they themselves have stood in that same place, and now have moved on, sometimes this will bring hope”
Grief is a natural response to loss. This 6 week in-person drop in group is for
individuals who are grieving a loss. Examples of losses can include but are
not limited to the death of a loved one, loss of a job, loss of a relationship, and
covid related losses.
This group is a psychoeducational support group. The aims of the group
include improving the understanding of grief and loss, gaining support from
other members and learning a variety of helpful coping strategies.
